Going to bite the bullet and blog!

I started this blog just over a year ago.  I sit and look at those first hesitant and slightly simplistic posts and then reflect on everything that has happened to our family in the intervening months.  I am sure that some of my future posts will be about what happened to M in the months he was so ill and then how I am trying to come to terms with his death - he was (and still is) my younger brother. I am about to make my first visit back to the N.E. to see his family, I have and haven't wanted to make the trip, particularly because he won't be there to visit and it will be so strange at their house.  I am keeping the visit brief and hope I find it helpful and perhaps comforting to me.

This is the photo I have chosen for my Shelfari ...shelf?...profile...? the plan is to get sorted and scanning my photos (roll on Flickr I think) and try and get some of my own photos on here rather than nicking free ones from the interweb.

I think I have done the initial playing about with this blog set up and now need to get the confidence to start posting. I'm used to IT systems etc at work but only recently have got access sorted here at home. I realise that although I can work round a template with tick boxes, drop down lists and free text I am just not used to writing!

The first one!

I wonder if anyone knows where my blog title came from? It is all very new, very unpredictable and very...
